Bukit Larut
Bukit Larut or also known as Maxwell Hill is 1,250 meters above sea level hill resort in the town of Taiping. There is an access road to the top of the hill, which is strictly restricted to government-authorised vehicles. The beset view of Bukit Larut is the watchtower and the hanging bridge (close to Bukit Larut Station - 1,036 metres) overlooking the Peninsular coast and the Malacca Straits.

The access route, 13 km long, is a hike to Bukit Larut. The only exception would be at the foot of the hill, where you can choose to walk the first part through the jungle track. The Jungle Trail merges back to the 2km access route. It is a 1 km walk of almost consistent uphill, which takes about 30-45 minutes to complete. Since there are quite a number of trail diversions, the numbered checkpoints (10 in total) are labelled on the trees. For those who are not inclined to walk up Bukit Larut, you can take the Jeep service from the foot of the hill to Bukit Larut Station. The jeep runs hourly (program subject to environmental conditions).
